ISU National Civics Bureau (BTN) has become the talk of the community even more so when the battle occurred mouth Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz and former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Ideas and proposals to reform the Cabinet module get the opposition to defend Dr Mahathir that it is good and should not revamped.
Dr Mahathir's idea was later supported many Umno leaders including Deputy Prime Minister himself.
Solidarity Mahasiswa Malaysia (SMM) also issued a statement of opinion regarding this issue. May assume that many students who simply want to share my political matters.
However, I am of the view that students are responsible for speech also state their stance because students are among the target groups that are required to attend sessions BTN.
Voice of students was in line with this voice that most former operator BTN BTN is a program that is not healthy. Filled with racial matters, dividing the community and participants to press taklid on certain parties.
BTN is a program that I think if done with the relevant module and how the implementation of a good and full responsibility to develop the spirit of patriotism among the people, especially young people. However, unfortunate as it is not so.
Most students who attend this program elements frustration because racism still exists. Operators may not realize that the political landscape has changed and the ideas of racism has been rejected first by the hard part of the community as well as large parties in the Barisan Nasional component.
But there are also students who do not agree with the stance and efforts to boycott the program SMM BTN this reason it appears he has attended and interesting for students.
BTN program has various modules and how the implementation of different backgrounds according to participants.
Participation of the whole Malay participants will receive and how different operational with the participation of the whole Rencam participants with multi-ethnic participation. This happens in the BTN.
However, SMM will reject any manipulation with the principles and agenda for the narrow interests of certain racial party. Hated the idea of some things that individuals are also rejected because it is using government agencies as a tool to achieve this support.
Students as the campus community should be educated and intelligent are eligible to stand and state their views.
Rejection BTN made on the basis of rejection of the racist agenda driven, ideas that divide society and use of government agencies as a tool to gain political support.
Must be distinguished from political parties and government.
This is a result of the experience of most students who attended the program.
If still want to be defended, it does not become a big problem. Instead the government must be willing to disclose and how implementation module used in this program.
I think the community has enough maturity to evaluate itself.
Students also do not see what rasionalnya to require the recipient government and sponsorship and scholarship students who will be outside the country to attend the program.
There is a reason why their participation is required, but it still rejected if it appears it is manipulated for political interests of certain parties.
Therefore, the spirit of reform to change and better suited to the situation and current situation, I think relevant to be reviewed and revamped.
In fact, if also proven that the BTN is not healthy and is used as a tool to gain support for certain parties then it should continue to be abolished immediately.
