Nurul Izzah: Deputy IGP ignorant equate the UK and Malaysia

PKR vice-president slammed the actions Nurul Izzah Anwar Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar, who likened the riots in Britain with Net 2.0 Assembly while the Deputy Chief of Police described the "ignorant."

Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai said the riots in Britain due to problems that occur in that country and it can not be equated with a rally organized by the Federation of Free and Fair Elections (Net 2.0) in the capital on 9 July.

"I think what it shows an ignorance that is the Deputy Chief of Police that he did not understand what was happening there (in Britain) and it can not be equated with a demonstration of Net 2.0.

"If we see riots in Britain due to the lack of jobs for which many are unemployed, but it did not happen in Malaysia where we are still a lot of jobs," he said.

In fact, according to Nurul Izzah (pictured), a statement issued by Khalid is very irresponsible.

"Net 2.0 Assembly to call for election reform, it is not a riot, and what the deputy police chief was very irresponsible.

"He can not compare with the demonstration of riots, I was surprised when he said ... this is a problem if follow the dictates of politics," he said.

The Malaysian Insider reports this morning reported that Khalid said the riots that occurred in Britain and other major cities is a "nightmare" if the police can not stop street demonstrations.

He said despite having to deal with Net 2.0 Assembly with tear gas and water cannon, but what is important the police managed to prevent the incidence of undesirable.

"It was a nightmare, so we prevent street demonstrations. It should be prevented to avoid undesirable," he said through Facebook.

Worst riots in Britain during the last decades of the fourth day today as the youth gang violence in Manchester and the industrial area but the England midfielder in London was quite calm after 16.000 police officers deployed to curb violence.
