Anwar's suit Challenge 3 'the close'

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tidak berani menyaman individu seperti Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, Datuk S. Nallakaruppan dan Ummi Hafilda Ali walaupun ketiga-tiga mereka telah secara terbuka mendedahkan kesalahan moral Ketua Pembangkang itu.


Bekas Ketua Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK), Senator Ezam Mohd. Noor berkata, ini kerana Anwar sendiri tahu dakwaan mereka adalah benar dan banyak lagi 'pekung' akan dibuka sekiranya kes dibawa ke mahkamah.

''Kalau Anwar betul-betul mahu cari kebenaran, saya cabar dia saman 'orang rapat' beliau yang sekarang secara terbuka dan jelas menyatakan Anwar telah lakukan kesalahan moral dan tidak layak menjadi pemimpin.

''Anwar sepatutnya saman orang seperti Shazryl Eskay yang secara terbuka mendakwa Anwar dalam video lucah dahulu atau Nallakaruppan yang secara terbuka sebut Anwar peliwat.

''Saman juga Ummi Hafilda yang secara jelas sebut skandal Anwar. Anwar tidak berani saman mereka kerana Anwar tahu dakwaan mereka benar dan banyak lagi pekungnya akan dibuka jika kes dibawa ke mahkamah,'' katanya kepada Utusan Malaysia di sini hari ini.

Beliau mengulas tindakan Anwar yang hanya berani menyaman media seperti Utusan Malaysia berbanding mengambil tindakan sama terhadap beberapa bekas pemimpin Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) yang menjadi antara terawal mendedahkan persoalan moral dan akhlak Anwar secara terang-terangan kepada umum.

Mengenai saranan debat antara Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak dan Anwar oleh beberapa pihak, Ezam berkata, ia dilihat bertujuan menghina institusi Perdana Menteri di negara ini.

Katanya, tidak wajar sama sekali seorang seperti Anwar disaran berdebat dengan seorang Perdana Menteri.

''Anwar wajib jawab atau saman dakwaan serius tiga individu berkenaan tentang aktiviti liwat, pelacuran dan skandal isteri orang sebelum layak berdebat dengan Perdana Menteri,'' tegasnya.

Fatwa Council decided 'silver nitrate' allowed Islamic

Discussions of the National Fatwa Council yesterday decided the use of indelible ink contains silver nitrate, "which will dicalit the voters at general election-13 (GE-13) allowed Islamic law.

Its chairman, Prof Tan Sri Dr Abdul Shukor Hussin, said the decision was taken on that indelible ink does not contain banned Islamic excrement, not harmful to health and prevent water permeable or not to get to the skin when used.

"After hearing the views of various parties including, the Department of Chemistry and the Election Commission (EC), discussions agreed to decide that the tested permanent ink is allowed Islamic law as not a problem for Muslims to perform worship," he said after chairing a special meeting on the matter in here, yesterday. 

The meeting was attended by the Director General of Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim), Datuk Othman Mustapha, EC representatives, Department of Chemistry and curiosity throughout the country.

Previously, the EC announced the permanent ink contains silver nitrate 'will be used in the GE-13 and was sent to the Department of Chemistry last December to examine the content and relevance used in this country. 

The use of indelible ink is a joint EC improve the implementation of the election after it was agreed by the Selection Committee of Parliament to improve the election process.However, Abdul Shukor said, the results of discussions today is subject to the EC tested permanent ink and contain the same material as presented in the meeting. 

"If this type of ink that will be used later (GE-13) different from the ink that has been disconnected and tested, then the need to see the results of the discussions, but informed the EC will use the tested permanent ink containing the same," he said. 

Indelible Ink 'silver nitrate' is different from permanent ink that was intended to be used on the GE-12 which allows its use on the discussions held in August 2007. 

However, the ink is disposed through the combustion process in November 2009 due to safety and legal factors.

Free Anwar Sodomy Charge

In a surprise decision, the High Court here today acquitted and discharged Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of the charges of sodomizing a former personal assistant, Mohd. Saiful Bukhari Azlan at a condominium in the capital in 2008.

Justice Datuk Mohamad Zabidin Mohd. Diah decided that after finding no evidence of evidence in support of Mohd. Saiful Bukhari as well as being safe for the court to rely on evidence of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). 

According to him, after examining the evidence, the court can not be hundred percent sure that the integrity of DNA samples taken from the first prosecution witness, namely Mohd. Saiful was not affected.

This, he said, caused the court only had evidence of Mohd. Saiful Bukhari. 

But he said, for sexual offenses in the defense case, the court was reluctant to convict the accused solely on the evidence of Mohd. Saiful Bukhari without other supporting evidence. 

''The accused was acquitted and released,''said Judge Mohamad Zabidin summary judgments conclude that lasted only three minutes to read without any further delay before he went straight into the camera. 

Public gallery was packed with family members and supporters of Anwar that they were stood up to welcome the decision with good cheer. 

Anwar, who previously looked tired and there are signs of anxiety, changed cheerful and smiled before he embraced his wife, Datin Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. 

Their children also took the opportunity to embrace their father and mother as she shed tears.

People's Justice Party Advisor (PKR) is faced with a jail term of 20 years and whipping if convicted under Section 377B of the Penal Code. 

He was sentenced to nine years by the High Court in 2000 after being found guilty of sodomizing his former driver, Azizan Abu Bakar, but four years later, the sentence and conviction was successfully set aside the Federal Court on 5 September 2004.

He said that the decision was 'clean' from the disgraceful allegations, while also imagine will continue to make reforms in the general election to come.

PAS Dismissal Hasan Ali

PAS today took the decision to expel former Selangor PAS Commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali effective immediately believed to be due to the action statements that conflict with party policy. 


The decision was made unanimously in the monthly meetings of central working committee PAS PAS headquarters in Jalan Raja Laut here.

Dr Hasan dismissed the action based on Clause 82 (9) is sacked as a PAS membership. 

"After considering all the views expressed by members of the PAS committee meetings held in the Centre today, PAS central decision-making based on Clause 82 (9) the membership dismiss Datuk Dr Hasan Ali as a member of PAS with immediate effect. 

"This decision is based on the actions of Datuk Dr Hasan Ali who violate the expense of the party's interest as provided in the Constitution of PAS," said a statement Harakahdaily. 

Dr Hasan, Member of Legislative Assembly (Assemblywoman) Gombak Setia and Selangor State Executive Councillor previously often issued a statement that "bucked".

901 rally rejected his latest and described as an act of futile and can be harmful, especially to young people. 

He said PAS members need not attend the rally. 

Meanwhile, the center of the Hall Sisters, PAS Comments Zailah Mohd Yusoff, when contacted by The Malaysian Insider confirms that. 

"The decision was made after review, negotiate and provide advice to him (Dr Hasan) but he did not heed the instructions of the party and still do things that conflict with party policy. 

'"This decision was made by consensus at the meeting earlier," he said. 

However, Dr Hasan may submit an appeal to the Shura Council.
